When I first started my business, it was hard to find my way. Not many other handmade sellers were also outdoorsy and all of the outdoorsy creators I was seeing didn't also have a product based business.
I spent years listening to podcasts, watching YouTube videos, and even investing in expensive courses. Despite all this effort, I still couldn’t find anyone who mirrored my business model or shared my specific challenges and aspirations. It was a lonely and often frustrating road.
Fast forward to today, and I’ve been fortunate to connect with several maker and small business friends who completely understand my journey. These connections have been invaluable, providing a sounding board for ideas and a source of camaraderie in the often isolating world of being a solopreneur. Building these relationships and finding a supportive community has been a cornerstone of my business success.
Building a community and finding more connection has truly been what has led me to having the business I have today and inspired me to create a space where others like me could connect, share resources, and support each other.
