As a chef and Aggie alumni (Go UC Davis!), I’ve always been interested in food and a sustainable food system. Agriculture is such a huge part of our life, yet we are so out of touch with it! Small farms are disappearing and there are more than four times as many farmers over 65 as there are under 35. By supporting young farmers and small farms, we are helping move our food system in a more sustainable, and hopefully healthier, direction. Read more about the National Young Farmer’s Coalition here
